The Origin Story

Beechdale is the street I grew up on in Detroit. My family affectionately calls my childhood home The Beechdale House. It was a place where our family gathered for holidays, welcomed in family to stay, shared endless amounts of laughter, and sometimes faced the tragedies of losing loved ones and friends. In fact, after three visits to our house, you could walk in the kitchen and make your own plate. In essence, you became family and you were welcome at The Beechdale House.

The Beechdale House is a real place but also the idea that community can be built wherever we are if we choose to build it. Our storytelling and creative studio reflects the same soulfulness that originated back in Detroit at The Beechdale House. We help you tell the story while you focus on the work.
